Rachel Herz

Rachel is a current Garwood Councilwoman who has called Garwood home for 40 years with her husband Todd and their two children. She holds a Bachelor of Science, as well as multiple professional certifications. Rachel is a cardiac surgery nurse with Atlantic Health Systems.  Throughout her professional career, she has received numerous prestigious recognitions, most notably, as a recipient of the WAMMC Magnet award for Exemplary Professional Practice. Her call to public service began in her youth as a member of the Garwood First Aid Squad. Since then, she has served on the municipal Board of Health, PTA executive board and the Medical Reserve Core of Union County. Rachel is actively involved in Girl Scouts, as a community leader and serves on Education Foundation of Garwood executive board for which she has been a member the past 6 years. Her dedication to Garwood and its residents is continued through her commitment to serve on Council.
